UKBEG members may be interested in the sand racing at Mablethorpe, Lincolnshire, which starts its new season on Sunday 6th October and runs throughout the winter period ending on Sunday 16th March.

We usually manage to get to one or two meetings during the season and it's a good excuse for a ride-out (or drive-out) to the coast for fish & chips and some hot motorcycle action on the beach.

We'll definitely be going to the sand racing on Sunday 3rd November. On that particular Sunday morning we'll only be 23 miles away near East Kirkby*, instead of the usual 110 in West Yorkshire ......

Sunday's tide times are high water 05.22, low water 12.11. We plan to be at Mablethorpe around 10.00 to 10.30.

We met up with Kev and Ronnie again this morning in Mablethorpe - beautiful weather and good race action on the beach, a perfect way to round our weekend off .....

It's the last meeting of the 2013/2014 season on Sunday so with a two-wheel friendly weather forecast on the cards we're planning a 220 mile round trip to Mablethorpe to sample some hot beach racing action and delicious fish & chips ..... .

Our ETA at Mablethorpe will be between 11 and noon.

It means an early start from West Yorks on Sunday or treat Jane to a Saturday night at the Red Lion, Revesby.

Just given Muffin his first run out this year ready for Mablethorpe tomorrow so will see you there CJ ................. Took the CR out yesterday and riding both that and the X1 today has reminded me just how boring the BMW is to ride.......... I think the BM will definitely just be for salty weather and trips needing luggage

What a toptastic weekend and the first of many this year exploring the UK and Europe on two-wheels ...

Although breezy, we enjoyed excellent riding conditions and had a good old fashioned tour around Lincolnshire, going wherever the fancy took us. Just purrrfect....

Met up this morning with Ronnie, Kev, Dave (Burning Chrome) and his friend, Pete at Mablethorpe, which was the busiest we've ever seen it for the sand racing.
