Organised by the Skellingthorpe and District Motorcycle Club, this event raises funds for the Lincolnshire & Nottinghamshire Air Ambulance.

It's being staged at the Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Centre, East Kirkby - where we hold UKBEG's 'Em's Day' every year.

Whilst the run is open to all motorcycles/sidecars it is very much a classic event with awards for Vintage/Classic pre 1989 and post 1989.

Signing on is from 8.30 am and the run starts at 10.30 am. After approx. 40 miles there is a stop at The Green Man, Scamblesby before returning to the Aviation Centre.

Entry costs £7 for a machine and rider, pillion/sidecar passengers pay £6.

Confirmed timetable for Saturday's event:

Motorcycle Wolds Run - signing on is from 8.30 am and the run starts at 10.30 am.

Aircraft displays - Avro Lancaster taxi-runs 11.00am, 1.30pm and 4.00pm, plus a Spitfire flypast at 2.00pm.

William - it looks like a cooler but dry forecast for Saturday. We've pre-registered for the run so we'll be there for 8.30 - 9.00am. We may even stop locally Friday night, which is what we did last year.

You'd enjoy the run, it's a great scenic route around the Wolds and a big buzz riding with all the vintage and classic bikes ....

Kev - that's a real shame ...

If Ronnie wants a day out on Saturday she's more than welcome to join us. Jane will be on Barney so there's a spare pillion seat on the Ulysses. We're stopping Friday night at a B&B in Mareham-le-fen, just a mile up the road from the Red Lion at Revesby, which is fully booked. We'll be out and about early on Saturday so we can collect her from home or meet her at the Aviation Centre.

The UKBEG 'borrow a girlfriend for a day' scheme is up and running .....it was a pleasure to have Ronnie along for the Wolds Run and I think Kev will receive a glowing report on the Ulysses from a pillions perspective.

It was a spectacular day, we enjoyed perfect weather, a great route through the Lincolnshire Wolds and there was a mouth-watering selection of vintage and classic machinery taking part in the event.

I think that Atlas engined bike in pic5 is extremely rare. At first I thought it was a Norton P11 (which are also very rare) but I think it was a parts bin special to use up the 650 Matchless frames by bunging Norton engines in them
