National Motorcycle Museum Live, Solihull, http://www.nationalmotorcyclemuseum.co. ... seum-live/

It promises to be a great event and entry is free. Lots of interesting stuff taking place during the day and some of the greats of the British motorcycle industry will be there. I've dug out my original T160 manuals and handbook for Norman Hyde, John Woodward, Arthur Jakeman and Les Williams to sign :P...never thought I'd get the chance to meet four of the original team behind the development of the BSA/Triumph triples.

The event runs from 8.30am to 5.30pm. Event timetable:

An excellent event :P and well worth the 220 mile round trip, albeit in the car. We briefly met Alan and Shelley from UKBEG and I got my books signed by Norman Hyde, Les Williams and Arthur Jakeman. All three gentleman were very approachable and willingly spent time talking to us about their involvement with the Triumph race team and the development of the BSA/Triumph triples.

Top picture, Jane and Les Williams :worthy: with Norman Hyde in the background.

We spotted this Ulysses in the bike park plus there was lots of tasty machinery both inside and outside the NMM...

Good pics. That Vincent is a beauty, no dust settling on that one!

I wish the owner had been around to talk to, we'd have loved to ask him/her about its history. In total contrast to the gleaming Vincents in the museum this example was clearly well used.
