OK folks, it’s that time of year again! It’s only a few weeks until Sproutfest takes place for this year :mrgreen:

Date: Saturday 10th December 2016
Venue: The Golden Lion Hotel, Easenhall (near Rugby)

Sproutfest is our Christmas do held at The Golden Lion Hotel in Easenhall (near Rugby), where we pretend to be civilised human beings enjoying a pleasant Christmas meal together but in reality most people just get hideously drunk (you know who you are) & buy stuff they don't need in our Sproutfest auction, which is no bad thing as it raises vital funds for the running of this site.

There is currently 1 Double room available at the hotel if you want to join us & stay overnight or you are more than welcome to attend just for the meal (menu below)
I'm afraid this year I need to collect the money for the meal upfront as we had a couple of late no-shows last year which we had to pay for. You can either call the hotel directly & pay, or I can give you a bank account number to pay into. Please PM me for details along with your food order.
Cost of the meal is £26.50/head, menu below.

Cost of the rooms is £80 Double/Twin for 2 people, £70 for single occupancy
& £58 Single, Bed & Breakfast

Please PM me if you'd like to join us, I'll allocate the available room on a first come, first served basis :-) if the hotel becomes full there is also a couple of other hotels fairly close by (taxi ride)

STARTERS
* Sweet Potato & Butternut Squash, Crusty Bread
* House Pâté, House Chutney & Crusty Bread
* Whiskey Infused Roasted Salmon, Crème Fraîche & Crusty Bread

MAIN COURSES
* Honey Roasted Turkey, Sausage & Bacon Wrap, Sage Stuffing
* Vegetarian Wellington, Red Wine Gravy
*Oven Baked Salmon, Hollandaise Sauce

All served with Roast Potatoes & Selection of Seasonal Vegetables

DESSERTS
*Christmas Pudding, Brandy Sauce
*Chocolate & Cherry Cheesecake served with Black Cherry Coulis
*Winter Berry Eton Mess

I booked my room when leaving last year, so hope all ok there...otherwise, does anyone want to share???? lOl

Menu choices are as follows:
Pate
Turkey
Eton mess

Stopping off at The Smithy in Church Lawford for lunch on the way to sproutfest. Normally arrive there between 12.30 and 1pm. Great food and a good start to the weekend!

We can't do that as the smithy isn't wheel chair friendly so we will see you at the Golden Lion :-)
