Of possible interest to fellow aeronautical nuts, this event offers a unique opportunity to see the LAHC's Avro Lancaster in a fully stripped down state during a major winter restoration. This work is being done in preparation for a return to flight status. Full details can be found here: http://www.lincsaviation.co.uk/news/lan ... e-news.htm If you can't make the Saturday event there are other tour dates on Thursday 8th and Tuesday 13th. |

Heads up for fellow aeronautical nuts, I'm told that the BBC have been filming at the LAHC during the past few days. They plan to feature the restoration of the Aviation Centres Avro Lancaster in their Breakfast programme on BBC1, this coming Thursday 19th January, between 6.00 and 9.15am. |

The LAHC feature only lasted 4 minutes but it was well worth scrolling through the recorded programme to find it; at 6.52 and repeated at 7.48. The BBC have said they will provide regular updates on the restoration but I don't know when they'll be shown. ![]() |
