Hi everyone (especially Kevmean....... :4roz: ;) )

I was just wondering if anyone (Kevmean!! :4roz: ) had managed to find out if the date had been set yet for this year's Belgium weekend adventure, as I really want to get it booked up and I can't face missing another one!!

I was gutted to miss last year's Lauwe weekend especially as it was the last event Richie attended...

I hope it can be sorted very soon. :yup:

Yours sincerely

Jilly

(ps FFS, get it sorted Kev! lOl lOl :4roz: )

I've had a reply from Karen but they can't confirm anything yet as the farm is due to have some renovation work done and until they know more about that they can't confirm a date. I'll keep you all updated as soon as I hear anything else ;)

Yep. The crew at Twin Power really do go out of their way to show us a good time.
The last few years, they have ridden out to Cassel to meet us, then provide a marshalled ride in to the farm, stopping at one of the historic battle grounds/ cemetaries from WW1. The year that we rode through the Menin Gate in Ypres will stay with me forever.
Last year, the numbers from the UK were low, due to a variety of conflicting dates, but let's make this year another one to remember.
These friends of ours in Belgium put on a great party and deserve our support. :worthy: :sun:

:yt: I have loved every year of our trips to Lauwe. The first one was special because it was the first obviously.

Since then, every year we have had an escorted ride to Lauwe from Cassel by the brilliant Belgian crew who go out of their way to make us feel welcome, showing us proudly how they as a nation tend the war graves and preserve the memories of those who fought for our freedom. Every year they find a different route and another story to tell. As Mojomick says, the Menin Gate ride was memorable and I will make another trip to see it properly very soon. :yup: :worthy:

OK folks ...................... I'm the bearer of bad news I'm afraid :( :( :( unfortunately Karen has just let me know that the farm is unavailable to them this year due to renovation work . This means there will be no B-Day in 2017 :( :( :( :( next event will not be until 2018 .
