Thanks, Kev. We anticipate covering 2,000 to 2,200 miles on this tour. We'll be visiting some areas in the Austrian/Italian Alps and Bavaria that we've never been before. Our previous visits to Moto Guzzi in Mandello have usually been subject to time restraints but this year we have two whole weeks to play with. This event in Leonberg is a real bonus. We're really looking forwards to Sunday, it'll be a good start to the tour. |

Today was our first visit to this event and we were well impressed. The location is beautiful and the organisers must have been very pleased with the attendance. Despite some mobile communication issues we managed to meet up with Joe and his 1948 Airone at the Moto Guzzi stand. There was a great mixture of bikes on show with a heavy empathise on custom and café racers. The Germans seem to have taken everything to a higher level with some really innovative designs and quality products. Understandably, BMW flat-twins are the most numerous but almost anything is given the 'café racer' treatment over here. Buell XB Lightning models are very popular and there was a good number at the event. I did wonder how many were ex-UK machines.... The staff on the Moto Guzzi stand made Jane's day by featuring her 118,000 mile Breva 750, 'Barney' in their event write-up. We'll keep a look out for any pictures on the official Guzzi owners website. Onto Austria tomorrow .....
