Hi folks,

Anyone fancy a run down there on the 20th July.

Short notice I know, I'm only going to have a look at what goes on & how it's organised & whether I would feel comfortable having a run (or a few runs) by joining in on another day. Maybe even that day if it looks ok.
Seemingly just need my Driving license & pay the fees. I'm up for a go at this I reckon.

Probably shit a brick on the day though but the thought of running my 1125r flat out in a straight line (hopefully) is pretty intoxicating.

Give me a shout if you want to meet en route. I'm in Matlock so it's the MI & A14 or A45 for me.

Could be up for this....been a couple of times recently and it's always a good day out....As an aside, I think theres some requirement on a certified crash helmet and leathers....if a two piece it must be zipped together....and no thongs :D
best check on their website....

No thongs? Mankini it is then.
Not sure if I've got a jacket & breeches that zip together either.
Be great to meet up again Steve.

Just got some Blue vinyl same colour as the frame, was gonna recover the seat I got off Jeznewsome but a mankini sounds better for the drag strip ha ha.
Where do you fancy meeting to go to Santa Pod?

Keep an eye on the weather, if it's wet they won't race
I always wait until the last minute before finally deciding :yup:

Hi Gusm2,
Just riding down to have a look & if I feel ok with how it looks & confidence is running high will have a go but mainly there to see what goes on as it's my first time ever.
Can't believe my wife was ok about me trying it. Full of surprises she is.
Hopefully I'm coming down with Osteveo so well have a look round for you when we get there.
Thanks for your support & guidance. Nice one Paul.

Well it ain't looking too good for Saturday.

I'm going down that way anyway as I was going on to Essex after Santa Pod, if it's raining on the way down I'll stay on the A14 & head straight for Essex instead.

Damn I was looking forward to that.

Hi Gusm2,

Either way I think I'm gonna get wet heh heh, thunderstorms are coming allegedly, if not before or during Santa Pod, then afterwards.
Ah Bollocks.
Hope it stops for Sunday or my ride back home's gonna be wet as well. Still, it's a fair ride out, which is always a bonus.
Hopefully see you Saturday.
