We are having our party again on Saturday the 9th of May (Bank holiday) at our house in Stow near Galashiels in the Scottish Borders. Post code TD1 2SR. Everyone at UKBEG is invited but it's not just a UKBEG event. There's plenty or room for camping and for motor homes etc. You're welcome to come on the Friday and stay until the Monday. The usual contribution towards breakfast would be much appreciated.
Basically it will be a similar set up to Deliverance/Adam's bbq . If people arrive on the Friday night we will probably have a bbq. On the Saturday night Anna is probably going to make a massive pot of haggis neaps and tatties again and some Scottish salmon. No set format as such just general drunkiness and talking shite about bikes etc. We're hoping for some live music around the bonfire so if you can play an instrument bring it with you.
Any questions please ask away. Please Remember it is up a very rough farm track however as long as you don't own a sports car you should be ok. Bikes are fine just take it steady. Worst case scenario you can leave your car down at the farm and I will come and get you.
Hope to see some of you there.

Thanks.

Oh and if you're wondering why it's that weekend the bank Holiday is actually the Friday in 2020.

Ok so it looks like this shit is getting serious now or am I over reacting?
Shall we still have this event as it is only 7 weeks away? Your thoughts please as there's no point having it if no one turns up.

I think looking at what is happening right now you are probably right to be thinking about cancelling mate, if any one area of the Country is in lockdown that week it will make it very hard for people to get there, that's if they are even allowed to . We were supposed to be in Europe that week but I'll be very very surprised if we are allowed to go. luckily we had only actually booked the ferry as we'd not finalised our plans on where we were going to visit , hopefully if we are banned from going then we'll get a refund from P&O.
My guess is that London will lock down this weekend and other areas will be close behind with all but essential travel banned.

1. Bring us own food, grog, bbq, loo roll and spade.
2. Maintain social distancing.
3. Anyone who coughs gets thrown on the fire, hmm, considering point 2, anyone who coughs has to throw themselves on the fire.

Anyone that coughs hopefully would still be at home .
to stop the risk of infecting other friends and family .

The difficult part is I work for the railway so mixing with dozens of people at work and then working on trains that thousands of people have been on. I've got quite a high chance of either catching it or passing it on.

I'm guessing that we will be in enforced lock down before the end of the week so the choice won't even be yours mate .
