So with all the lock down nonsense, travel restrictions and my ongoing battle with the nitrous oxide system I decided to fit, I hadn't been able to get out on the bike this year yet,
I had it on the dyno a few weeks back and although I learned a fair bit it was a bit of a disappointment.
Unfortunately the small bore pipes I had fitted between the solenoids and fogger (injector) were unable to withstand the gas pressure required for optimum performance ....900psi, so replacements had to be found, that turned out not to be so easy and after numerous phone calls
I ended up speaking to Trevor the wizard of nos Langfield and instead of purchasing a metre of plastic tube I decided to replace 90% of the kit I had already fitted.
Another Dyno session is booked for Saturday coming and hopefully I will get a good result this time.
I was really gagging to get out on it and saw there was a meeting at York on Saturday just gone and having never been I thought I'd give it a go, my intention was a few runs to make sure it was running and working ok as I had fitted a homemade manifold extension and to get a baseline before using the gas.
Turned out everything is fine it's going well.
As I mentioned I'd never been to this track before but it's half of the milage closer than Santa Pod.... twice as expensive mind you :shut:
The track itself is only a 1/8mile and has undergone a fair bit of improvement and development over the the last couple of years, plans are to extend it to the full quarter once enough funds have been raised, hopefully they will also improve the pits and road leading into the venue, the pit area is a mixture of cracked concrete and gravel, thankfully it was dry on the day otherwise I'd imagine it would be a proper quagmire.
As per usual I was the only air cooled v twin on site but it also attracted a fair bit of attention and seeing as it's only an 1/8th mile did not too bad with a best et of 7.24 seconds @ 95mph, did six runs in total so all in all I'm happy with how it turned out.
Next time out will be using NOS so fingers crossed.
Stay tuned ;)

:) Thanks, had a good result on the dyno this morning, all working good, showing a gnats under 107bhp and 109ft/lbs torque at the wheel.
Can't wait for the next time out now, only fly in the ointment was the weld on the bottle clamp breaking on the way home thankfully it was still sitting on the trailer upright and attached to the braided hose and not through someone's windscreen on the M62 ;)

Wow!
Well done Gordon.
That's one seriously aggressive power line.
I would say curve, but there isn't one.
Good luck next time out.
