Amended 28-01-10 by CJ:

Over the past few days I've been researching the background to this event and I'd like to take this opportunity to thank Ronnie again for posting his original topic.

This '3 Days Of Thunder' track weekend, which is being held on the TT Circuit Assen, looks like it will be one of the main highlights of UKBEG's 2010 events season.

Organised by the Dutch Ducati Club, the event caters mainly for Italian motorcycles but will include races featuring liquid-cooled Buell 1125RR's, 1125R's, 1190RR's and air-cooled tube-framed models. The German Pegasus Buell race team will be there in force with their new 1190RR's (bought from Erik Buell Racing) competing in rounds 3 and 4 of the Sound of Thunder race series.

If this weekend in Assen tickles your fancy and you'd like to be part of the small, but perfectly formed UKBEG group that's attending this event, please contact us for booking details.

FYI Jane and I have booked the following P&O ferry crossings:

Thursday 27th May
Hull to Rotterdam
21.00 hours

Sunday 30th May
Rotterdam to Hull
21.00 hours

Assen is approximately 160 miles from Europort, Rotterdam.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

May 28-30th is the 31st Ducati clubrace @ Assen, this is the biggest amateur race in europe.
I compete for the 3rd time in the thunderbike class(1 race on sunday),the german pegasus team ride in the sound of thunder(2 races on sunday)with a 1190RR.
for this race I paint my 1125R like Erik Buell did in 1984 with his RW 750,so far 46 dutch buellforumnames are gonna be on my 1125R.
so if you ukbeggers want a good weekend in may visit the Dutch Ducati clubrace, party on saturdayevening with guys and girls from the dutch Buellforum and good races on sunday.

Ronnie

Ronnie - we'd like to attend this event. How much is camping at Assen for the Saturday night and do we have to pre-book?
