The lightning badge virtually feel off my XB12S at the weekend, so I removed it, but not sure the best way to remove the glue that was holding it on, any idea's? :?:

p.s. Yes I now I am lucky that the badge is the only thing that has fallen off :D

I will try the petrol and WD40 choice before using the obvious, can't belive there is actually something called 'sticky stuff remover' :lol:

All these aero things (WD40, furniture polish etc) work because the propellant is a solvent. But you're then left with 'oil' or polish all over the show...
Just use 'brake cleaner'... it'll vap off leaving a perfectly degreased surface ready for the new adhesive too. :yup:
Obviously... test first in an inconspicuous place... :roll:

I'm more or less with Rik on this. If I want to remove any sticky stuff, I use electrical contact cleaner.

Any high evaporation solvent that leaves no residue will do, provided that the flashpoint is suitable for the job.
