I'm at a bit of a loss to find the best tank bag, can anyone give me a wee bit of advice about this?? I also need a protector on the air filter cover as it's getting a bit scratched! Any and all info appreciated!

I'd really appreciate knowing what's the best of the rest.... Cheers ...D

What about the Buell one? It's in the downloadable catalogue iirc.

Tesco plastic bags. Cheap and disposable.

I've used Buell tank bags on my '97 M2 and on my 2002 XB9R. I thought the S3 bag on the M2 was a better setup than the dinkybolt bag on the dinkybolt.

I think Norm will report that Baglux bags are also good for Buells - they're probably less pricey too...

I've not yet needed a tank bag on "the barge" (R1150RT pipe & slippers edition) as it's got nice "tupperware" as orginal equipment.

Haha. I have a Tourmaster 18l bag and a 10l bag. The 18l is a little too big but the 10l is a little too small. I would suggest somewhere in between, maybe the 14l one. They attached without any problems.

Someone on the badweb has taped washers to the bottom of the air cover so they could use a magnetic tank bag. I guess if you already have a nice bag and don't want to spend more than $5 for the washers, it's a good bet.

I have an XB12Scg Lightning

I've not looked at the Buell accessories, I guess I was looking for a cheaper alternative! I was directed to the Held tankbag but wanted to see who used what...just to see what other folk had used and liked!

Cheers to all replies, much appreciated... :D

I know you said you're looking for a cheaper one, but the Buell tank-bags are genuinely excellent. Well made, roomy, a great fit. I'd recommend them.

Yep - Buell deluxe tankbag. I can even see the speedo on the CR (as long as I don't extend the top). Dead easy to fit, even for a numpty like me. You can probably get a bigger bag but I doubt it fits a Buell as good.
