Hi Guys..
Just collected my 2008 XT and rode it 50 miles home..wow, what a great ride..love it! that was until it cut out! I pulled over and the electrics were dead, apart from a very weak headlight beam..It wouldnt turn over or do anything!..after a few minutes it came back to life and I rode home without any more grief!
Took the XT out again on a short run and the power went again ..only for a second or two and then was fine ..any ideas please??!!
[battery connections are sound]

Thanks,

Phil

Could you have dodgy wiring, I think that some XB types had the loom badly routed around the headstock, I am sure someone will be along for better advice but it may be worht a look

Might be a dodgy relay. ISTR that one relay does most of the work and can burn out. Maz might be able to shed some more light on matters. I think it was the Key switch relay that needed to be swapped. As a get you home you can swap it for one of the others but it will need replacing. However...I was on a XB9 at the time so I could have got that all arse about face.
