Rick - how'd you get on with this, did you manage to sort the spension in the end?

Hi Bench

Just literally (almost) back in after a 2hr Sunday blast around rural Leicestershire.

I've tweaked front compression by 1/4 turn (stiffer) but to be honest I can't really tell any difference. Didn't find a pothole (thankfully) so don't know if it has cured/helped my problem.

Time (and more miles) will tell no doubt.

I'll keep you informed on progress as and when !

To be honest, I abandoned following the settings in the manual. I guess this proves how subjective these things are. Following things to the book the bike feels too rigid to me. I left the preload according to the manual, then reduced compression and rebound to zero and started tweaking upwards from there till it felt right. It's definitely true what I've read elsewhere - ie. 1/8 of a turn can make a really noticeable difference.

The bike inspires a lot more confidence in me when the suspension feels right, so well worth the time to tweak.
