On my bike HD paid for the rear wheel bearings and labour on my 5k service. They also paid to collect/deliver (140 miles round trip), supply and fit a new belt. Both times it was well out of warranty. If that is not "Good will" I dont know what is because thats got to be the best part of £500 if you had to pay for it yourself.

Sorry the question asked. Well you would be lucky to get much from any bike maker IMO. I have had most and they are all much the same. Even the God of bike service BMW can be crooks, i can prove it, and Trumpets dont fair well either. It has a lot to do with your dealer IMO. DIY is the way to go and always has been.

Most of the HD dealers according to this site are crap and incompetent, although ,I know one or two have been given glowing recomendations by some folk on here Blackbear especially, which is where I am going to take mine when it needs something doing which will be a good 120 mile round trip, you obviously have also got a GOOD dealer dutchman but if you read through this site I think you may find more moaning than praising about HD dealers, its just if you dont happen to live near a GOOD one then you should travel to the best one thats nearest to you ,that you have heard about :D :D

Mchr HD go the extra mile as well. I'd be happy to trust B/Bear with anything too - but they're the other side of the Country to me.

It may be a good idea to get the names and whereabouts of all the HD dealers that go the extra mile and know there way around a buell and post them up somewhere on the forum,so that wherever you live, north, south, east or west, you could look the nearest GOOD dealer up, and go there for your repair/service or whatever, yes, you may have to go a bit further than normal, but at least you would know that you are getting a proper job done and not being ripped off ;)

.....and here's the thing....like me, Steve (Ursus) has been a member here forever and as such, he backs his dealership to the hilt, whether they're getting praise for what they do or getting slagged for dropping a bollock/whetever, neither of us take a safe option and hide away because we're genuine enthusiasts of Buell motorcycles and the folk that ride them.

I'm totally loyal to Mcr.HDB even though nobody from the dealership posts here.
I will stand by anything they do, good or bad because I have a fantastic working relationship with them and have known everyone that works at the dealership since they opened.......and before from Bauer Millett days.
Manchesters DP is one of the nicest blokes you'll ever meet and has a brilliant attitude towards his staff and customers.
Big Dave is without a doubt the best parts bloke on the planet...period...I've met some really good parts people in my time but usually have to train them up to my speed  ........Dave is so ahead of the game that he's constantly consulted by both customer services and the work shy gits at HQ for the latest updates that aint even found their way onto HDnet yet 8-)
Workshop is headed up by Steve, a veteran HDB tech who runs a real tight ship and aint afraid to ask when he needs to 8-)

......and then there's Alison :4roz: :ill:

Bottom line.....this site is the focal point for Buell owners in the UK......if a dealer is enthusiastic about the bikes, then this is where you'll find them..... ie. BB and Mcr.

Nuff said.

:yt: Wot Maz said x3

.......and the sales staff don't do the 'be my best mate routine' until they've got your cash.........and then instantly forget who you are. (I bought a lovely X1 off them when my 1125 was in for its first free service)

Top people to deal with :yup:

You married your sister! You must be from Norfolk.

Cheers, Richard.
