For future refrence, you get multi-rider with the multi-bike policy that ebike offer.

Interesting all this.
I own a RV125, Buell Blast and will be in receipt of a XB12SCG very soon. My insurance runs out 1st May, so I was looking for quotes for all three to start at the same time. I was insured on ebike for the RV and Blast and asked for a requote to include the XB12. They came up with £895! :ill: I asked Carole Nash the same and they came up with a policy offered by Aviva for £341  . Bikesure were close at £378. Aviva offers fully comprehensive, full breakdown for UK and Europe, riding other bikes and relatively low excess for someone that only passed their test 7 months ago!!!

Not so bad, eh?

I've been (claim free) with CN for the last 12 years, and have found them to be just the opposite - I'll be dealing with Adrian Flux next time (in fact they've just insured my Impreza for half what CN quoted  )
Getting back to bikes, last January, CN doubled my bike renewal quote (£900  ) saying the reason was because they had put me with a new company, as Equity Red Star would no longer insure my Duc 1198. I phoned them and politely told them to shove it, and the woman on the phone told me she would look for a cheaper quote than they had given me and lo and behold, she came up with a figure just £20 more than their quote for the previous year. I pointed out that I was very upset about this because I was paying them, as a Broker, to get me the best quote they could in the first instance :x . I got a load of bollocks about how insurance rates change daily and they could only quote the figure that came out their computer. When I asked who this new cheaper company was, it turned out to be Equity Red Star again!
After venting about how a company as large as CN was either being incompetent or dishonest about doing what I pay them to do, I told them that next January, my computer would be saying 'NO' :!:
well, hush my mouth. I'll take a look around next time...

Don't get me wrong, I was quite happy with them until they pulled that little stunt. If I renew with them next year, I see it as condoning their dishonourable behaviour, which seem to be endemic in a lot of businesses these days :(

Sold to the French insurance, banking and financial services giant Groupama back in late 2006. Groupama put all their UK brokerage firms up for sale last January, seems like they lost a few quid in some recent financial crisis, lots of it in Greece and they now need lots of reddies, not just Adam's.

Just had my renewal letter from H&R, and the premium they want has almost doubled from £260 to about £460

Just tried an online quote from ebike and got it down to £330 and that's without any mileage limit... Think I shall be phoning round, and not renewing with H&R on principle... What a pisstake...

Well my £895 quote from ebike included a 5% discount for repeat business! :ill: :headbang: After much shopping, just confirmed with CN, £329 for the 3 bikes. Knocked it down a few quid by buying a Abus Trigger disc lock for the Lightning.

These insurance companies try and catch you out all the time..... shouldn't be allowed.
