Do you use 9 separate Optimate type thingies? I've got a similar number of bikes on charge and I've split the leads, so one charger feeds two batteries. Seems to have worked well for a few years.
Having said that, a bank of Optimates keeps the workshop damp free :yup: lOl


I got a 6 way Optimate. Works great...

Look at Maplin website for solar panel charger. There is a thread on here about them. Don't know how to post the link tho, sorry. Used one for some years now. Free to use, no power needed and way cheaper than an optimate, and yes it does work OK in winter too even on tractor batteries. Lead acid Batteries will self discharge more slowly in the winter months anyway.

I've had 2 of those from the local farm supplier (I stood on the first one :roll: lOl ) and have never had much luck with them. They were used for the ride on lawn mower and to power the coil for my 'burglar surprise' in the workshop lOl

I'll try a Maplin one and see if it's any better :yup:
