It's not a squeal or chatter, much more of a mid-pitched rubbing sound - a bit like some using an orbital sander. I think rubbing on the cover may be it - will investigate tomorrow and let you all know - on the train today - on the p*** later!

Mine made exactly the same sound, went after a couple of months. F*ck knows what it was, no fraying on belt.

P.S. Has everyone had the front brake recall done? I'm still being f*cked about by Riders and Buell UK. I'm starting to FUCKING lose it now! :headbang: :x

Mark, as far as I'm aware, recalls are done according to your VIN number. Ask what's happened to your kit? Get in touch with VOSA as well.
Have Riders filled in the Work Completed Certificate that VOSA sent you after they fucked around with the tie wrap?

I hope you get the result Markj about time too.
Renewed my insurance yesterday they asked me to give a valuation on my 1125, I had to phone the dealer...I've only got 5K on mine, it's not good. Equates to £6.75 a day depreciation. What the fuck over

I know, beginning to wish I'd bought a firebolt or a 675 trumpet and saved some cash. So far the only word that describes Buell ownership is FRUSTRATION, told them that on the phone too.
If I've not heard from them by Tue, I'll be ringing them with another mouthfull and asking for my money back. :headbang:

Well, just spoke to Buell U.S. again. They say someone from Buell UK should have phoned me today to sort out my problems. Can you believe it, I've heard fuck all. It seems like the problem is with the :tosser: over here, as if we didn't know!
If I've heard nowt by Thursday I'm gonna give C.A.B. a go and try for the not fit for purpose thingy. :headbang:

since it seems that there are quite a few Buell owners that have had bad experiences with Buell uk customer service should we not consider buidling a database of factual evidence and then once this is compiled send this direct to Erik to let him know that his loyal owners in the UK are a bit p*ssed off.

Other than buying bikes from an other manufacturer and thus hurting Buell UK sales we need to act as a unified body or they will contiune to get away with it.

Count me in. If its a paper based list of problems we're going to send I'd better go and chop down another tree! :headbang:

Let's get that info together - I love the bike and want to improve the service we get over here.
By the way - rear indicators are on back order in case yours fail, like mine keep doing!

Anyone got a standard exhaust to sell?

I bought a standard exhaust off Ebay in the USA, it's currently with Tubbs being sorted 8-) :D If I P/ex my 1125 for a Ducati (just waiting for a Duc dealer to phone me any time now) then it'll be up for sale, otherwise, I'll have Remus for sale if I keep the 1125.
I'm pissed off with the lack of knowlege dealers have about the Rotax motor - when you ask a question it's difficult to get a straight answer, ie is there a Rev C clutch cover? - how is it different? can I get a part No for the clutch piston and sleeve retro fitted to my bike? is it the leak proof yr 2010 part? or is an interim part that's been fitted?
I'm sure Erik is very unhappy about the situation too ;) - but his hands are tied by the MoCo and I shouldn't think that the sales of the 1125 are a particulary high priority.

Or particularly high! Something to do with negative comments for a rushed out,not properly tested bike, with totally shite service and support for owners?

Strangely enough, when I phoned Ducati Bristol yesterday, they answered the phone saying, 'Hello, Riders'. Little did I know they flogged Italian stuff too.
They asked how they could help but I told them that there was no way on God's Earth that I would buy a Duc off them because of the utterly shite way they treat Buell customers. The Salesdick seemed genuinely surprised at my attitude

The sales guy I dealt with,Luke, was a tidy enough bloke. Unfortunately once you've paid your cash you don't see him again, and your left in the hands of the :tosser: (lack of)'service dept.'. Thats when it all goes tits up.
If thats what you told them Adam, fair play to ya. :yup:
