I have yet to find a modern Sports Touring tyre that I can outride and I'm certain I never will - I'm not talented or brave enough. My Road Attacks did just fine at Ty Croes trackday yesterday, although I was riding my mates Fireblade for most of the time. I can tell when a tyre is knackered but certainly can't tell any difference in behaviour between makes. All I can say about the Corsas is that they don't last very long, both sets I used on the 1125 were shagged at under 2k miles, the Road Attacks still feel good at that mileage (although very worn) and I don't ride any slower with them fitted.

No way! He kept that quiet!

The Kübelwagen got out fairly easily and it was drying nicely, I'm surprised anyone had any issues.

Mind you, Mich doesn't exactly have a good history with throttle control.

It must be a Freudian thing, that this thread has gone from sticky rubber to Mich's control in just 2 pages

Wotcha Ash,
Had rossos on my fire blot and have to say I am not overly impressed with them. I'm sure they are great tyres and felt ok at the time on the bike. They wore out like buggery and both wore out at the same time. I didn't know how much better the blot would feel though til I fitted the Dunlop roadsmarts. I bought them on the premise that I'd heard good things about their durability and most modern tyres are better than my ability anyway. The roadsmarts just feel a much more stable tyre (in the sidewalls) and the bike seems to give more feedback. In return I've had the bike far further over that I ever did on the rossos. (I'm not a knee down merchant either). By all accounts the contis are brill, but can't speak for them myself. Just know that I had a different bike with the Dunnies. Luvvum.

All the best with your choice mate.

Si.
