Knowing and proving are two separate things, the guy that ran the place is a nice bloke but obviously got in too deep and was abroad when the garage was stripped.
He knows and the Police know in theory who actually took everything but he also knows the sort of trouble he is in so whether he will roll on them is anyones guess.
Anyway my bike is probably in many different pieces by now
I do have to reply on this......
The "nice guy" that ran the place, was in fact very crooked.
So much so that he swindled his sleeping partner out of over 7 thousand in cash.
He then sold every customers bike that was in the shop running and broken and
did a moonlight flit to a tropical paradise.
He even left his wife behind......
He then contacted police in the UK and tried (unsuccesfully) to blame all the losses and sold items on others.
The people there clearing out the remnants were actually salvaging the parts he hadnt managed to sell before he "ran away"
All of this is fact and the "nice guy" was
charged with various crimes and last i heard was bailed to go to trial.
I never did hear the final outcome of the trial as the police refused to give anyone "enquiring" details of his address or of the court date.
Which is a shame really as a lot better punishment could have been served given the information.
If you need to know more just ask.
