Wow i never thought having your bike in a box would make you so anti gimmicks ;) ;) My view is it's a free world and everybody should spend there own money on whatever parts /crap/bling as they wish ....... ;) ;)
So put the keyboard away and put the fucking X1 back together ;)

What did Acumen say when you contacted their 'Technical' dept?

Hello,
their reply is awaited! I'll give them a few more days before shouting.
In the next couple of weeks I can get access to my 'scope and will have a go looking at the pulses / waveform as some guys on here have suggested might be the issue.
I will NOT be asking Acumen for my money back; I do want this device to work. If it comes to it, I will offer to take the bike and device to their works to get it sorted...perhaps in the spring as I'm quite away away.
I'm still hopefull of some bright spark on the forum coming up with the solution. But now this important technical matter has been downgraded to chat, this hope is fading.....grin

Always do my own thing; sorry. Was given advice to buy a BMW which has GPI as standard; but equally will be keeping my CityCross. As for being one with the machine; I chose it before I could ride a pedalcycle and now love to have it between my legs. There I expect it to stay for a long long time!

Never thought my simple question would start such a long thread.

Got to take the rough with the smooth... However, back to topic, there were a number of people that shared their experiences with you, but ultimately, the liability is with the GPI manufacturer, not the UKBEG members.

Maybe one of the American forums is better placed to help you with such a useful (for V twin with lots of torque) add-on...

Hi Gunter,
the analyser trace confirms your previous post to me on this topic. It will be VERY interesting to see what Acumen has to say about my problem. A quick look at XBORG makes me wish I'd tried harder at school some 50 years ago with the language..ah well some great pictures. Fancy a ride out to North East England in 2010?
