Yes, I also found Novus 2 to be good, but if you are ever stuck for a supply you could try dabbing Duraglit (which is really just Brasso) onto a cloth and add Pledge furniture polish in a 50/50 mix. Rub out the scratch then clean and polish with just Pledge. Works a treat on restoring old hi-fi transparent panels, record player lids etc. ;)

Hey dude, click on the pictures in the post I did earlier in this thread...

Tis funny that these posts keep coming back, maybe like the Moon orbitting the Earth, or the Earth orbitting the Sun, the tide coming in and out, going to work and back every day, a clock striking midnight... erm...

BTW, your handle reminds me of this:

"Where be that blackbird be. I know where he be! ... With a gert big stick. I'll knock him flat. Blackbird, I'll 'ave e!"

You have, we havn't!

Pash can you explain why you think the Buell plastics are good as they are cause I think they are way to soft? Surely Buell could have made the plastics harder to resist scratches better. My BMW black tinted screen is amazing at resisting scratches!

Any of these work for me - lacquer would be a disaster - the Buell plastics are best as they are:

I bought some of the above... it works great... I tried it back to back with this

as championed by Adam, and much better value (the bottle is much bigger)... I couldn't tell the difference TBH...

Might do a back to back with the Novus tomorrow night...

Pash did you ever do a back to back test comparing Novus 2 with the others?

Sorry ph, was laughing at Pash's quote which sent me into an 'American folk-rock genre' moment! :couch:

Am still interested in all this!

I lifted that info from a thread you responded to... Have a look at the second page where you tell everyone about micro-fibre cloths

I think you need to take you bike back and ask for a refund. It doesn't look like it fits your needs.

I think Buell plastics are ace because:

* There is no paint to chip
* There is no lacquer to chip
* It is quite thick and even deep scratches can can wet'n'dry-ed then polished out
* It is not so hard as to be prone to cracking

I did a back to back and I didn't see much of a difference between any of them. If anything, I prefer the Aeroshell, bigger and better value.
