Simple solution Ash, keep the Buell and have that too, bet the novelty wears off though and you spend more time on the STT!

:yt: Don't get rid of your Buell...... :(

Try a bigger trumpet triple too. But don't sell the Buell.

Go to a few more dealers and try to get longer test rides until you get bored with the triple. If you still wake up wanting one then you might not miss the Buell..................but don't count on it! ;)

Headers are rusty.

Personally, I'd put the Hypermotard S up as a replacement for the STT. Saying that, never tried an S/X1...

I have had three Triumph Triples and each one has been very good. My first was one of the first injected T955i Speed Triples. A fantastic bike. Comfortable, handles well and fecking quick. I was gutted when it was written off. A dozy woman reversed over it. I might not have been quite so grumpy if I hadn't been sitting on it at the time!

You would enjoy it, Ash.

I must say Ash, that looks really nice.
I think I will pay my local dealer a visit and ask if they take my 1125 off me

I sold my Gaymona 955i to buy my Buell.

In someways the bikes are very similar:-

Riding in town, the fan is permanently on.

Similar claimed bhp 146 vs 147.

Both have there unique front brake issues. (Lever to the bar on a Daytona is normal)

Servicing costs seem to be similar.

Both come in the proper colour - black.

Next time you're over here Ash, try my Duc Sport Classic - I love mine to bits. I've ridden Triumph Triples and they really are very good, but every feker's got one ;)

Forget everything you've heard about Ducs, a lot of BS hangs over from the bevel drive days, they're well built and as reliable as any other bike out there.

Yeah, I REALLY like those sport classics, more so than the Hpermotard and the Monster S4R etc

Triples are really addictive...

I have 2 T3 Series; a Legend, that bares only a passing resemblance to its original form ;) & a 6 speed Speed Triple in Fireball Orange.

I'm a bike junkie.....

...but I can handle it. ;)

I've just ran out of money right now! :sad1:

Nige.

Coupla Sport Classics on eBay for £4-5k
Prices for the Lightnings aren't bad just now - get £3.5-4k for your STT

You'd be making a mistake getting a Duc classic if you only want one bike, I'm sure Adam would confirm this.
An STT and a Duc classic would be nice together but then so's an X1 and a falco 8-)
