If it was parked near any premises, knock on the doors and ask if there's any CCTV footage of the area..... you never know.

**edit** OK, I'm into the page, and you have pm. Let's get it publicised...

**edit** I've also stuck it on the UKBEG Facebook page.....

In my opinion there are only two reasons to steal a Buell

1) Stolen to order for parts or re-sale abroad.
2) Joyriders.

It`s not as if they blend and can be ringed, I don`t think there is a market big enough, unlike Jap bikes where they are ten a penny and easily disposed of.

I'm in south London mate so I'll keep an eye out around here.
Where did they take from? A parking bay?

Your lucky the new method round here is bike jacking rider and pillion pull up next to you at the lights, pillion pulls a gun n demands your bike.

Thanks Losttyke, the more trained eyes the better.
Only thing better than an enthusiast on the lookout is one hundred of them.

Was stolen from a street side parking bay in Moorgate EC2 where I work.

Agree re jacking, at least I was happy in my ignorance during the event.

Very sorry to hear about your bike.

What security did you have on it?
Steering lock?
Disk lock?
Chain?
Chained to something?

Not trying to get on your case - just gathering some info.

Yep, curious too.

Seems if they are not chained to something (or another bike) then its a 2 man job to just pick them up and throw them in the side of a van.

One guy walks around and scopes things out...van pulls up...another guy in the van hops out and the 2 of them toss the bike anyway they can into the van and away they go - all over in about 10-15 seconds

Eric.

Not everybody goes on such things.... if Mrs Smith, the 72 year old woman who lives adjacent to the scene of the crime has had a CCTV system fitted by her son Derek, she'll not know what farcebook is, but she'll understand a knock at the door......
