The Nant y Garth Pass is more challenging, but is terminal if you crash. A lot of the bends tighten up on ., and are lined with stone walls etc.

Hmmmm, I think I'll just go on the horseshoe one - already have it programmed into my Google Maps thing.

Plus, I'll be loaded up with gear and have wifey on the back - don't want to take on a new, technical road like that. Plus she gets a bit sick if I'm thrashing it round too many corners. She almost barfed in her helmet on the St Mary's Loch road up near Selkirk

I should be home by 4 (ish) on Friday, so if you fancy calling in brew/overnight/leg stretch/bum rub etc (only for wifey ;) ) you'd be most welcome. I'm 5 miles East of Oswestry 8-)

PS Do you have knobbly tyres? lOl ;)

The horshoe pass is only worth doing in the northerly direction, from Llangollen to Ruthin, puts every thing uphill and on camber ;)
