Only for bits anybody will ever check. Testers here (yes, Spain is Europe) wouldn't even think of checking seat height.

I can see the photo of the fitted piece has already been uploaded. It was a very easy install by the way. I doubt if anybody would ever have any EU/TUV/Parts POlice issues at all.

Here is the unfitted.

Isn't this lowering thing a bit like wanting a faster bike, you know, if you want your bike to go faster, buy a faster bike. :headbang:

If the Uly's too tall buy an XBs or R!!

Maybe this is why bike trader has about 5million Uly's for sale and only about 1 of anything else!

Because blokes like me can't afford an XT

And with some mods can make a Uly perfectly comfortable

And to me, customising/personalising bikes is fun too.

Why wait for someone to make a bike I happen to fit - I'd rather take the bike I like and adapt.

Fair enough, nothing against modding, it's just that the elevated seat height and better visibility is one the the things I love about my Uly.

oh yeah, the height is definitely a good thing

I'm hoping that with a combination of extra seat padding and slight height reduction I'll end up with the same height as my old Ulysses with it's low seat. :yup:

Pash - short people buy Ulys because they like them; there are hardly any STTs around and never one when you want one.

Since the back shocks are too soft anyway, you will want to change it sooner or later: changing the shock to lower it costs no more.

Had mine dropped 2" so i now effectively have a SM styled, Lightening Long with a seat that fits 2 'mature rider' sized arses and has a full set of touring luggage.
