A very very fair point, and no one ever thought they would be immediate, but they have been a long (too long) time coming.
Having spent a few hours with Michelle and Tony (Tony was superbly kind in showing me around the workshop, how the tanks are made, the specific tooling developed for the Buell tanks, etc. etc. etc.), I have a small insight into what was needed and the demands and strains that are made on what is a small and very specialist business when creating something as complex as a Buell tank.
That does not negate the timeline, just (for me) begins to explain it. Neither Michelle or Tony are happy with the time it has taken (it is not good for the cashflow either, although they did not mention this), but it really is the reality of small and highly specialist production - things can take far longer than anyone hoped to come together. Now they have of course, all the work is done and the tanks can hatch with realitive ease, or so it seems. It appears for existing orders that it is now just a matter of final assembly, which is far from simple and a very skilled task in itself, but having seen the part assembled tanks on the shelves, I guess it is 'just' a matter of working through them in parallel with other orders.

Two things have made me patient. One, no choice. Two, anticipation of the end result along with the fact that I have wanted to have an alloy tank for about ten years, so waiting maybe a year longer than I ever imagined has been no harder. And the end result is certainly something beyond my hope for all those years. Simply stunning - just what I always wanted/imagined. Which for me why there was never any real question about whether I would get one, just a matter of working out where the money came from (I still have both kidneys, that stated).

So..... I have tank No. 4 (I think). For me it is the completion of an ambition/desire that has been part of my S1 journey, which is 15 years old next month, since Paddy Yates said to me "why are you trying to haggle over the price, we both know you're going to buy it".
I love my S1.
I love my Holtworks S1 Manta Tank.
