I thought I was

Well, I was. Or am, which makes it 'was', as I picked up my Manta tank on Saturday.

With no disrespect intended to Holtworks' workmanship, as the finished tanks look lovely and I would certainly have ordered one of these if I'd had the money to spare.
They look better than anyone (me) could imagine. Superb to look at, but that does not even begin to compare with the workmanship.

...but... looking back through this thread, it is now over two years since deposits were requested (Nov 15th 2012).
Memory tells me I paid a deposit in October 2012, but maybe it really was November.

I know that some have taken delivery but many others have not, and I personally would be royally pissed off if I'd parted with £400 (?) for anything two whole years ago and still not got the end product in my mits by now.
A very very fair point, and no one ever thought they would be immediate, but they have been a long (too long) time coming.
Having spent a few hours with Michelle and Tony (Tony was superbly kind in showing me around the workshop, how the tanks are made, the specific tooling developed for the Buell tanks, etc. etc. etc.), I have a small insight into what was needed and the demands and strains that are made on what is a small and very specialist business when creating something as complex as a Buell tank.
That does not negate the timeline, just (for me) begins to explain it. Neither Michelle or Tony are happy with the time it has taken (it is not good for the cashflow either, although they did not mention this), but it really is the reality of small and highly specialist production - things can take far longer than anyone hoped to come together. Now they have of course, all the work is done and the tanks can hatch with realitive ease, or so it seems. It appears for existing orders that it is now just a matter of final assembly, which is far from simple and a very skilled task in itself, but having seen the part assembled tanks on the shelves, I guess it is 'just' a matter of working through them in parallel with other orders.

I admire your patience Pash (et al), you're a better man than me.
Two things have made me patient. One, no choice. Two, anticipation of the end result along with the fact that I have wanted to have an alloy tank for about ten years, so waiting maybe a year longer than I ever imagined has been no harder. And the end result is certainly something beyond my hope for all those years. Simply stunning - just what I always wanted/imagined. Which for me why there was never any real question about whether I would get one, just a matter of working out where the money came from (I still have both kidneys, that stated).

I've only been waiting a year, but I am ok with that, not long in geological terms...

And
if you had to wait another year, when you see it, i am sure you'd still think it worth the wait!
So..... I have tank No. 4 (I think). For me it is the completion of an ambition/desire that has been part of my S1 journey, which is 15 years old next month, since Paddy Yates said to me "why are you trying to haggle over the price, we both know you're going to buy it".
I love my S1.
I love my Holtworks S1 Manta Tank.
