What is the average life of a belt on an 1125?

My first one lasted 13k miles, my second one has done 10k so far so I'm reckoning on needing a new one before the spring.

Technically, they should be good for life - if you believe Harley speak !

The first one on my 1125R lasted about 8,000 miles ...

...but the belt now has a revised part number so I'm hoping that it will last longer.

Reason I thought that I would get spares in now is that the Jersey HD website quoted me £159 last night, and they will give an extra 10% off if your order is a minimum of £200 before the end of November ...

... and the govt. are going to close the VAT free sales loophole.

Hmm, the article implies that it's only for low value items like CDs -

Quote:
The change ends low value consignment relief (LVCR) which allowed goods under £15 - such as DVDs and CDs - to be sold to UK customers VAT-free.

Jersey HD reckons that all of their online sales are VAT free -

At least the suspension moves with the sprung idler on Maz.
Standard it might as well be a hardtail, belt acts as the shock,no wonder they break rear wheel bearings :!:

We tried everything last night, including swapping the tension round, ie overrun.Everything seems good, even with the foot peg hanger on :yup:
It's not pretty,for sure,but I think it'll do the job.
