Oh and you'll have to sell the superduke AND the xb9 to afford mine ;) ;) ;)

If it was, then I'm looking for exactly what you have there... Have you got any pics you could post up here?

I have not read any of this thread, other than the title.
What you need to know.....

You will become one of the 'bretheren' nearly one of the 'Inner Circle'
You will be privvy to all kinds and sorts of worshipping rituals that are practised by those who are 'in the know'
If you have a sense of humour and charisma, you may also become a 'legend' But this status is notoriously hard to achieve, for those of Tuber ownership are almost naturally devoid of charisma and humour.
You will achieve a pale complexion, you know the one, the complexion that is only achieved because you cannot ride your bike when the sun is shining because you are in the depths of Hell, worshipping to buellzebob that everything will be OK with your bike and when you have done that, the Winter months will return.

However, when you do get to ride on the open road....You will be revered, you will probably be stopped and asked to attend an 'Antiques Roadshow' And there you will find solace, a kindred spirit, others will admire you for your fortitude, your commitment, things that are sadly missing in this modern world.

But, do not get carried away, as you will still be devoid of Humour and Charisma, so you can watch on, as those around you wither and expire of terminal boredom and lack of motivation.

Whatever it is you should choose to ride, I wish you well in your quest, for the future is bright, it is gleaming with a myriad of bikes at your disposal.

Choose wisely, the force is strong in this one.

This is all brilliant help so far, thanks.

Can anyone comment on the spec of this one on ebay for me?

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/2002-BUELL-X1-LIG ... 286.c0.m14

I can't see the tank finishers as teh pics are too contrasty, and I'm no expert on the benefits of US gearing or Forcewinder air filters, etc. ...and how does the price look?

That's mine, still umming and ahhing over whether to sell it or not, as I had a cracking ride on it today up around the Lakes... ;) ;) However nipper no.2 is on the way, me car's goosed and I had a paycut. The money has to come from somewhere....

It doesn't have the tank accents, I never liked the way you end up with a panel gap with em. It's on half-n-half gearing, have toured Germany on it this year like that and it was fine. I am willing to haggle on price, or put it back to standard and sell some of the bits separately etc so if interested give us a shout.

3K will disappear into nowhere before you even missed it.......the real steel X1 will be gone forever

It'll make the difference between us staying afloat or going into debt while my wife's on maternity for 9-12 months. That's how much it cost last time round. Hopefully I'll get the paycut reinstated somewhere during that time too and be on the hunt for another Muell.

Anyway back onto topic......

....anyone wanna buy a nice X1? ;) ;) ;) ;)
