Week last Tuesday ,
Me and the Mrs took the Uly for a blast up the coast to Scarborough ,
first time I have taken anyone of any proper weight on the back ,
it was like riding a high speed pogo stick :?
When we stopped I turned the suspension to max , much better :yup:
before it felt like the belt was getting a right pounding ,
on the way back it was like riding a different bike , far smoother . :D

Nah, I'm typing this from a layby on the A31. Been here 2 days now. lOl lOl

Actually, the tightened bolt didn't last more than two miles and it blew out as I was going across the forest. It hit me in the shin at what felt like 100mph and I've got a big bruise now. :ill:
I'm still trying to work out how it hit me so low down and so hard. :?
I was doing about 60, trying to keep the revs neutral.
To cap it all, the A31 was shut at Ferndown, but I just rode around the bollards, as I didn't fancy the detour.

Wht I meant was... did the faithful steed get you home on 1, or did you have to push the b****d?!
Still, shiny new head 'bolts' await! :yup:

It was still running on both cylinders, it even ticked over as I searched for the bolt on the A31. It was loud though and made a weird buzzing sound on the over run (though to be honest, that may have been my ears. lOl ).
It was like running with a plug missing, but still on two cylinders.

Just can`t wait for them to ask what I do for a living......Because I deal in white powder most of the time :yup:

Rode the S1 to the MOT and first ride on the S3 today since I bought it. What weird riding position like sitting in an armchair but with handling not much different to the S1. Can't wait to do a JogLe type tour on it.

did a couple of hundred km yesterday on the XB, and about 75km the day before on the S3 with the mrs.

i was absolutely knackered both evenings afterwards - feels like my kidneys have been liquidised; although i'm not sure it has anything to do with the bikes.

Just been to do the Box Hill / Newlands Corner run

Went with a mate and we swapped bikes, so I got to see and hear what other road users see/hear when I ride past

Even more in love with my Buell than I was before!

:yup: :sun:

(btw, rode his new Triumph Explorer... Lovely bike... Might even prefer it to my GS)
