Rode the 1125 to work this morning.

I haven't yet decided if I'm taking the Buell or the YZF750 to Anglesey for a trackday this weekend. I'll be riding up so taking both isn't an option.

Today  ........very rare I get the time to go out for a ride these days but today I had a free afternoon and the weather was glorious :sun:

Only bike taxed at the moment is the 2010 CR........bought Nov. 2009, now 6 months out of warranty and has only covered (after todays ride) 797 miles  :oooops:

30 miles into the ride the management light came on......pulled over to check the TC's = fuel system error, fuel pressure error, F>R AFV error......so I'm guessing the fuel pressure sensor is misbehaving :x
Light stayed on for the rest of the ride but the bike ran OKish......enjoyed myself but would rather have been on a tuber....the 1125 doesn't inspire confidence re. its reliability (clutch s/cyl., stator, belt, etc.) and it's hard to have fun at legal speeds, unlike the tubers.

.......note to self......get the X1 taxed asap

Maz, you're a No.1 Buell mechanic, and in my mind I have you down as an ace rider.
But you seem to get so few opportunities to ride your bikes, I'll bet you sixpenny round those curves!!!! ;) lOl lOl

Surely its not about the speed you ride, but the pleasure you gain from your ride...?? :4roz:

Nowt to do with speed Jill.......It was great to get out on a bike and I really enjoyed myself but have to say I feel more than a little deflated by my lack of basic skills/craft......I guess it's a case of wanting to recapture my old form and failing miserably :(

It takes more than one ride, and even the top racers would say exactly the same....you would need to ride every day to keep yourself at your peak....(says I, who is a crap rider, even though I ride at least once a week.....lol) Just don't beat yourself up about it... :sun:

Have ridden every day since friday when I got back from Exmoor. Early morning arse clenchingly fast, scare yourself silly stuff :P followed by afternoon mountain biking and or climbing and swimmimng in the river.
Shit the bed Snowdonia is so stunning, both in its beauty and the quality of the roads. Falling back in love with my home is so :sun:
Best of all falling back in love with my beautyfull wife whom I have hardly seen for the last 9mths.
work's a necessary means to an ends but all the wages in the world cant buy you happiness.
counting my blessings very thoughtfully. 8-) :yup:

If I'm honest, I've not really ridden since Yoffi's funeral......last time was 2 years ? ago when I took the S1W to Em's day.
Obviously I do ride cusomers bikes every now and then but they're not mine and I treat them with the upmost care/caution.
Today was the 1st time riding one of my own bikes in well over 12 months, so I guess that could be an excuse for being a bit wooden :?
Gonna tax the X1 and make an effort to get out more......why does that sound familiar ?? :)
