What is the up to date price on these cans Pete :?: I might treat the S1 to one.

Holy thread revival batman!
I'm interested in one of these now, but how loud are they? I need it to be no more than 100db, or it's not going through the test here in Spain.
I only just scraped through after a second attempt, with my Albert can, with a baffle welded in, and stuffed full of Brillo pads! The Guy doing the paperwork for importation, basically told me it won't go through next time.
Are they even still available?

My X1 with genuine race can was measured at 116db at Cadwell Park , the miserable sod wouldn't let me out on track lOl

I'll give it a go! As long as you don't make me look too silly out there ;)

Can't make the 7th of April Gus but I'll be watching what other dates you put up and get to one of them :yup:

116’s too loud. My Albert was 110 at first test, I managed to get it down to 106, but they were still not happy about it.

Put a few mm on the length of stroke , so they test it at a lower RPM and pull the choke out a bit whilst being tested , all helps to lower the DB

Buggers tested it at 5000 rpm! I picked the Spanish paperwork up today, and the lady who did it for me told me they didn't bother using the Homoligation numbers in the end. Words fail me!
Oh well, just happy I got it through.
Triumph Trident next, but not until I'm back in September.
