In your last picture, at the top of the pass between Dollgellu and Dinas, there's a info notice telling you about the 'Brigands' that used to be executed on that spot for nicking stuff on the old Drovers road. They were mainly the local Griffiths familly and it turns out that my mother was related to them - her maiden name is Griffiths. They had to move inland to evade the authorities (and execution) and eventually settled in the Oswestry area lOl lOl
The Griffiths tribe still have an annual reunion in the Brigands Inn, never been to one though :(

On a similar note, don't go ragging it down the Pass towards Dinas. Da Babylon very often have a sneaky camera van on the long sweeping bend at the bottom ;) lOl

Bwlch yr Oerddrws translates as the pass with a cold door.

Got done a year back doing 69 mph, well it wasn't actually there it was half a mile further twds Dinas on that long stretch,no other car on the road, he got me as i came round the corner, the twat was at the end of the straight and by the time i had focused on him it was too late. :cretin:

If you turn left after crossing the stile behind the bike, and follow the path up the craggy hillside, you've got a lovely flat(ish) ridge walk that takes you over the top of the Maeseglase Falls (a popular climbing spot when it freezes up, the farmer at the bottom is a Dude too 8-) ). Last time I did it, in about 20' visibility  , I lost the fekin dog for about an hour, but I could see him stalking me every now and then lOl

Well worth sticking yer wellies on for :yup:

The original photo is awesome and will be off to the framers this weekend. I asked Steve if he would be able to do something like this after seeing a rather poorer attempt at Brightonia last year which the stall owner wanted £200 to put your bike in to another back drop. Steve's effort knocks spots off it, you could be forgiven for thinking my bike is parked next to the Type D Mustang, significance being that one just like it was flown by my father in law during 1944-45, it is that good. A great way to imortalise your favourite ride!Sorry Mr Restone that you have reservations but the real thing looks bloody good to me, and I am touched that Steve did this thing for me, a true mate.
