Regret selling my X1 a few years ago even though expensive to keep going there is very little out there to beat it on the grin factor. Will get another one day..........currently run an ST4S Ducati which is a lovely bit of kit done 7000 miles in 8 months this year. Also have a 71 Norton Commando 750SS which is great for the B roads round here also an old beemer that has been bobbed but has an electrical gremlin or two to be sorted out!

Swapped my Ully in April for a HD sportster 48, can`t even compare it to the Buell but it had a bad habit of cutting onto 1 cylinder when it rained and just got fed up of it limping home, still got an unbeleivably good deal, dropped £400.00 in 3 years.
But if a good deal came along again I still got room for another bike. :yup:

I have the purple smoker S1 which was first advertised on this site in February, I eventually bought it in August. The bike is currently in bits, with almost a complete restoration being carried out. The bike should be back on the road by April, photos and info will be posted then. 8-)

My love affair for bikes is nearly over.

Love affair ?!?!... :? Bikes are a way of life... you can fall in or out of love with them temporarily, but if there in you, there's no escape :D

Bikes have been in my blood since my teens...I could not imagine life without one. I was lucky to stumble upon the Buell some 12 years ago now  However, trucks were always my first love.....I now have the truck I always wanted since my childhood!
So I will be keeping the GS1100 BMW and getting rid of the rest.....Restoring the Mack and happy days to come :yup: :sun:

Why keep the BM......Because I can use it all year round and it can all be looked after by myself.....But more importantly, a parts supply that will never be exhausted......Plus it handles better than a Buell, is just as fast and with knobbly tyres on, it will go to far more places than any Buell ever could.....In other words, it ticks all the boxes and that is what life is about 8-)

34 years of biking and I've never owned a Guzzi... but there's an itch been developing over the last year or so, that's going to have to be scratched lOl lOl .

Anusol might help relieve that particular itch for less money and with a much less visible applicator.

Yup and we're generally fussy about who's allowed the joy of owning one.

One escapes into the hands of heathens every so often :ner:

Scratch that itch - you could do worse than get all passionate about Mandello's finest. But be warned, they will get under your skin, much the same as Buells do. From where we sit, being a Buell enthusiast and a Guzzi enthusiast go hand in hand and both brands compliment each other nicely.

Our experience of both marques has been wholly positive and we can't envisage owning any other makes of motorcycle. We can recommend both Buell and Moto Guzzi ownership.

To date, reliability of our Guzzis has been excellent. Jane has covered a total of 103,600 miles on her 'small-block' Nevada and Breva 750's, and I've covered a total of 98,000 miles on my V11 Sport and Breva 1100.

September 2004 - Mandello del Lario. Our first Guzzis, a Nevada 750 and V11 Sport:

Our current Guzzis, a Breva 750 and 1100, 64,600 miles and 45,000 miles respectively:

If you choose a modern Guzzi, the latest design of 2 valve or 4 valve, 1100 or 1200cc engine and transmission has proved very reliable....

If you go for any of the older Guzzis there's plenty of choice available and good parts inter-changeability between the different models. The possibilities are endless - ride or restore an original or create something special such as these.....

We can recommend the following Guzzi specialists:
Moto Strada
Corsa Italiana
Gutsi Bits
Kaffee Maschine
Teo Lamers
Dynotec

I've known Paul and Brian at Corsa Italiana since the early Eighties. They are the best of people you could wish to deal with. :yup: :yup:
