Hi! Just bought a 2001 red racin stripe X1 lightning after 3months of lightning huntin! Last owner was usin harley 20w-50 in motor and harley sport-trans in primary/gbox Livin in inverness so seekin info on best non harley more readily available 20-50 with maybe a compatable straight 50 to top up with in summer (if we get1!) Also alternative gbox/primary oil Can put a flushin oil round if modern synthetic is better an change over What u guys usin???????? Lightning is superb! Had ironhead sporty in 80's an runnin 78 S&S shovel 15yrs so used2 spanners Cheers

Welsome, being in inverness you will be buggered with all local bike shops but someone will be along to tell you alternative i'm sure. Nice to see someone from my neck of the woods. Where about in Inverness are you ?

Opie oils sell a HD approved Motul, they deliver to your door and we get a discount - see the social section.

Other options include Morris oils, there are one or two on the forum that recommend it.

This stuff is the same spec as the much more expensive V twin branded oil, definitely worth it, especially if you change oil more frequently than recommended. They deliver too :D
