Well well well! My idea and part I designed that Maz said would not work!

He has stolen and selling! :shock:

Should be called the joesbuell grease nipple conversion but I'm sure Maz would never give me any credit for something I did! :yup:

I'm flattered you used my idea :roll:

Here's the original, I just wish I had the negative comments that Maz said about it though!

I bet you don't tell people where the idea came from! :rofl:

It is still in the "how to" section.

Pollution (as in untreated sewerage) which people put in the "how to" usually gets deleted. Maybe we should be seeing a little gratitude that whoever did the edit thought enough of of your comments to split the thread rather than delete it.

My grandpappy came up with this design for his Fordson Major so ner.

I apolagise for any mistake I may have made Norm.

The point is Maz tried shooting my efforts down a couple years ago for the said part.

Then starts producing them!

You make me laugh Jodie......firstly it is Pash that edits the 'How To' section, not me :roll:

Secondly, I made my 1st batch of lube plugs back in 04, production was then entrusted to Greasemonkey when he bought his lathe.....I'm guessing that was at least 3 years ago ?
The plugs are now mass produced by Spondon 440.
I'm sure there are several members here that will vouch for the fact that their bikes were fitted with my plugs well before you even joined this site......which begs the question.....where did you get the idea ?

From memory, my comments on seeing the photos of your plug, in the original thread, were along the lines of your coments at the top of this page and also questioning the fit ie. hydraulicing the plugs out.
The original batch I made had an O ring fit into the output gear and they used to hydraulic out when using grease.Subsequent plugs were made to be an interference fit.

I've no idea who or when the plugs were first made but I DO know that Monkeyboy has had his lathe for ages (because I gave him my spare 'Janet and John Operate a Myford Lathe' manual)............... and that was a long time ago. He started knocking them out very soon after.

I got this item in less than 10 days "door-2-door", made to order from Jodie in Australia, and it cost a lot less than a bottle of JD.

I thought of the idea after seeing some posts on Badweb about some guy who's 5th gear needle bearings got toasted from water ingress. I had no idea they were already being made elsewhere as nothing was mentioned in the US about them!
