My xb9 is in the workshop having warrenty work being carried out -
Head Stock Bearings. #ucked
Front Disc. Warped
Rear Disc. Warped
Wheel Bearings, front and Back. #ucked
Exhaust. Rusty as #uck
I'm supplying new pads for front and back. EBC Double H
I'm supplying new tires front and back. thought i'd try Maxxis Diamonds.
I don't think I have forgotten any thing?
Or have I ?
Want to get as much done as I can on warrenty before it runs out.
Cheers

Chris

They will give you new pads when you get the new discs fitted, however you are much better off with the EBC HHs cos your discs are not warped, but have deposits from the Buell OE pads and if you fit those pads again, you will most likely end up with a disc in the same state...

I would go over everything with paint peeling off, look at the front isolator, the bottom of the fork sliders at the top of the casting, rear sprocket etc. etc.

How about check the front pulley for play in case the dreaded bearing is worn..?

I thought my issue was pad deposits too, but when the more aggressive pads failed to shift it i changed the disc and the problem is now away.

Tyre wise i can't recommend Conti Road Attack 2s highly enough.

Wouldn't hurt to check all the tranlucent plastic bit fixing holes for cracks. Sods law they will be difficult/impossible to replace when the cracks become terminal! ;)

Thanks All for the replies. Been away for the weekend, Download Festival, got very wet and cold!
Got the bike back today, still awaiting front disc, due in at the end of the month, only six weeks after it was ordered! The Front pads were fitted anyway and has seemed to clear the deposits from the disc and is 90% better than it was, so not warpped as I thought and as other members advised. Will have the new fitted anyway and keep the old for a spare.
Had front and back wheel bearings replaced under warrenty, fronts were very bad.
Hopefully nearly back up to a high spec.
Will report on how the Maxxis Diamonds perform.
Cheers

Think you'll find dealer will need to keep original one to submit their warranty claim, Chris
