I use the Harley Davidson stuff or Motul 3000 (?). You can get HD stuff from any dealer or the Motul stuff from Opie Oils - we get a discount from there - see the social section on the forum for the code.

I understand that not all 20w50 stuff is the same. Adam uses Morris Diesel 20w50, but I would be inclined to stick with HD or HD approved stuff.

Nick

I don'tr want this to get Ugly,....but, I have read two comprehensive reports that tear into the Motorcycle Oil vs. Automotive Oil, and I side with the Quality OIL is Quality OIL. PM me and I'll send the articles to anyone interested, they are in a word document.

I use Mobil 1, 20w50, full synthetic and top off with Castrol GTX 20w50 to add a little dead dinosour for spice. Other than in house manufacturers claims, there is no study that shows Motorcycle specific oils have an advantage over Automotive oils. If you have a study done by anyone other than an oil manufacturer that doesn't claim their stuff is the winner, please send it to me and I will eat crow.

As a closing remark, peace of mind is priceless, if you believe that H-D oil is preserving your investment better than any other product, then who am I to argue with success.

I only use the Morris 20/50 XHD diesel oil because the local dealer won't sell me the HD stuff, he's banned me from the premises :tosser: lOl . His loss (and not just from me either ;) ) otherwise I'd use HD oil.
The Morris oil diesel stuff is EXACTLY the same oil the company sells for aircooled V twins, only it's repackaged and increased in price lOl I've had this info straight from the factory and you can look up the spec online.

Adam,

You are my new Hero, I myself have been banned from a local Triumph Dealer. That was a long time ago, although I still can't even get a wave when I see the guy in public.

 Halfords 20W50 Classic oil has much the same spec, I use it for tops ups as saves me buying two cans 'cause it goes in my old Mini too.
