Hi,

I'm hoping you can give me some guidance about the value of my bike?

It's a 2005 City X and has only done 3,000 miles (mostly in the 1st year). It's been in my garage for the last 3 years and has only really come out for it's MOT. With family commitments and a rekindled interest in cycling I'm finally admitting it's not going to get used so am looking to sell it. The bike is unmarked, rarely saw any rain and was never used over winter, I think it could be described as 'as new'. It is standard except for a stainless steel exhaust (I have the original exhaust which was replaced early on so is also unworn) and removed pillion footpegs (which I also have available).

What might my bike be worth?

Regards,

Gavin.

PS - I'm sure a number of people will take it off my hands for £500 but I'm trying to judge a fair price that will attract a buyer and provide me with a reasonable return.

The WeBuyAnyBike website automatically offers £1,956 which I assume is the lowest I'll get for it from any source.

Would £3,000 be achieveable for an unmarked bike?

Gav.

XB prices are all over the place at the moment.......best advice i can give you is to check the completed ebay listings and that will give you an idea.

If you are prepared to sell to germany then that will give you best return but it will take a bit more effort.

Good luck with the sales

How would I sell to Germany? Could I ride it over or allow a German to come and pick it up or would I need to crate it up and export it? Would any taxes be involved?
