Post subject:  ulysses seat urgent advice needed

hi i have a got the low seat on my ulysses at the moment, and still find it too high well i need to know if i could get one even lower or modded , need as much as i can get leg room im 29 inside leg.
cant chance doing a little balancing act every time i come to a stop.
does anyone know of how i can make it lower and safer for me and the wife

ive only had the bike 3 days and its always been my dream to own a buell i know i could have got an xb9 but i wanted the grab rails and extra seat room for my wife
can you help i dont want to kill the wife :nutkick: lol and i defo want to keep the bike

Nothing much to say on the seat height. 29" isn't that short but you have a tall bike there and you need to be pretty handy to keep that upright at standstill with the missus perched on top.

He can't lower it much, mine grinds round any decent corner as it is, it's a bike for big blokes, you need to be very careful though, get somewhere uneven and there won't be any ground there when you go to put your feet down.

There are a million bikes about that would fit you like a glove, unlike for me who has squeezed on undersized bikes for the last 30 years.

No help I'm sure, but in the interests of safety you should probably change bike.

Or fit stabilisers :lol:

You should be able to lower it slightly by playing with the suspension settings but this will probably detrimentally affect the handling. Persevere with it and get a bit more practice in and your confidence back before taking a pillion again.

yes its the tall uly with low seat,
im well hissed off im getting to hate going out on it now and only had it 5 days
