...so I've noticed that the thread for my mirrors is imperial not metric. The problem is that the fitted mirrors have stems so short, I have a fine view of my elbows. so... is there an imperial to metric adapter ( I see plenty of metric to imperial)available to open up the choice of replacing them, or does anyone know where to look for reasonable quality replacements with the imperial fitting? Any help appreciated |

yep - something like 10-4 threads. Chuck 'em, put bar-end mirrors on, and plug the holes with plugs made for the Firebolt mirror holes, probably <1 euro at the stealership. My bar end mirrors are rock steady, and without the stock mirrors, I no longer feel like Mickey Mouse's bastard brother. Did I mention I hate the stock mirrors? |

[quote][That's a negative Rubber Duck, M10 x 1.5, repeat, M10 x 1.5/quote] That's incorrect Pash.......thread is metric fine ie. M10 x 1.25, repeat, M10 x 1.25 ![]() |

Not 100% sure, but I think you'll find it's M10 x 1.25 in this application... |

![]() ![]() So sorry to all for the confusion. M10x1.25 indeed. And if you do go to bar-ends, then the little black plug used to plug the holes on Firebolts is 91960-97Y PLUG, MIRROR MOUNT, R.H. D Retail Price:$0.30 US. Sorry, Pash, no idea what coinage you have janglin' about in your purse. ![]() |

I thought we were talking in CB language with the old 10-4 I ought to tidy the posts up so the facts come out rather than the fiction, that will soon get me banned from anything technical... ![]() |
