 Post subject: where do I get.........

......a female connector for the trickle charge connector on my 1125CR? Or would it be easier/cheaper to replace both?

we are talking about the same thing here aren't we? the black connector with a dust/water cover that hangs out the left hand side of the bike just below the seat release lock? :?:

If it's an optimate type connector (as fitted to most bikes by the dealer) then you can get the connector from Maplins, depending on if you want male of female -

If you want one already made up then try your local dealers, Halfords superstore or Ebay -

Should it be the connector as fitted in the wiring loom on 2010 models it is a different connector and is one of these -

Yes I think it would be cheaper to replace the CR

The bike comes with one of those Harley type connectors, Shaws also fit the Optimate type to all new bikes when sold which is nice :yup:

My (15 year old) Optimate had a shagged connector, so I just cut it off and crimped on a male and female shielded spade connector. Did the same on the bike lead. Job's a good 'un.
