What do you guys think about this engine? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll? ... 0313821568 The engine numbers have been filled off the engine. I spoke to the guy and apparantly it was his own bike it was stolen and recovered in parts with the frame and engine numbers ground off so the bike was written off. He was paid out by the insurance company and then he bought the bike off the insurance company. To good to be true? |

Can you ask for police reports and other paperwork to verify the story? From his other items, it certainly looks as if he is parting out the bike in bits. |

no offence norrie.... but i'd be very careful about this one... you would need documented evidence of the theft/crime report. Plus if you did fit your bike with the engine and happen to be stopped and checked, you might just find yourself in the pokey for a few hours, and your bike seized whilst its thoroughly checked over. Not a situation to want to find yourself in.... ![]() |

Yeah I kind of suspect I should avoid this one. I have spoken to someone in the police and they reckon avoid at all costs as the engine is untracable and I have also spoken to the DVLA and they have said it's not a legal requirment to have an engine No. As for what's wrong with mine don't ask. ![]() |

Maz mentioned you had a nasty vibration whilst up at Kirkstone. |

That's the guy that got let down by a German bidder on the set of wheels I was after. Looks like he's taking no chances now ![]() |
