Stewy, since you have the bike and a computer, you can answer a lot of your questions yourself.

Mate I hav both as you know......it doesn't answer my question though as there are loads of painters like everything else, but a recommendation is obviously the way to go as per people's experience which amongst other things is this not one of the reasons forums like these are set up for to share things and experiences so people can get the best help and advice available foe Numpties like me who are obviously not blessed with mechanical nohow etc etc.....comments like that mate don't help and if people don't want to help fine don't comment......sorry to the helpful peeps, rant over

Sorry Stewy, I thought I was being helpful. The link gives you the definitive guide to all the colour combinations that the S1WL were produced in at the factory.
I thought that was part of your question..........

The original Sikkens paint codes don't work with Sikkens in the UK. Two paint specialists have had my spare tank and some plastics and told me they will simply scan the colour and produce the match. Neither of them have been able to do so. Apparently it is quite complicated, it is a water based paint, needs a layer to make the paint stick or to settle, some other treatments and then lacquer before the stickers are put on. If you have any success let me know, and perhaps we can share some of the costs? I have found a source who can produce all the stickers, but no matter how hard I tried I couldn't get originals.

Oh that's what our lass does haha never asked her to do it yet as she is still getting over the shock of me buying her but it's the type of thing she does...not original but probs just as good.... Will let you know regards the paint see what I can dig up mate as defo need the whole bike painted

Go with PPG solvent base ,it`s a three stage colour using a white base ,then a pearl base over that followed by the usual 2K clear coat to finish.Best to clear coat it then fit decals then re-clear coat it to seal them.If the original paint has not been broken through any where then be very carefull not to rub through it while preparing it for paint as you may start the well known bubbling process with these plastic tanks.
The PPG paint codes are on this site somewhere,a simple search should bring them up.
Sikkens don`t have a formulation yet that is anywhere near the real colour according to Henk who is one of the paint tech`s in Holland with Sikkens. They don`t consider bike paints too important at the moment and are concentrating on car colours with the new water base system.
