Are they Pirate parts or would they be copyright covered?

I'd say they would only be classed as pirate or copyright covered if they were being sold as genuine Buell or using another firms name ;)

IIRC the Chinese made stuff was being sold via the States for a big mark up :?:
the quality was allegedly good , dealing direct with the Chinese seems a sensible saving
BUT i would only use a company other owners recommended

Not really bothered if they're copyright covered or pirate to be honest lads! They were advertised as "to fit Buell X1 Lightning" and thats exactly what they do and very nicely too! The well packed box had a delivery note on it mainly in chinese but had (GIFT) written on it too so no import tax or shit at the door either! They also E-mailed wantin photos for their gallery so when a bit of daylight returns to the frozen highlands l shall get some in! The yanks wanted £230 for the vented tank cover alone plus postage!! Can only comment on my own experience but well happy up here! Apart from its dark an minus 2!!

IT IS. Small stuff especially as the postage is low and customs nil.

The main issue with Asia is not the traders themselves - in general I find they're efficient and keep you well informed. And if they're on e-bay they'll work hard to keep their ratings.

The bugger is if you want insured postage they generally declare the real value. And then tend to use couriers rather than EMS.
