First thanks to Albert for a (very promptly made) beautiful set of headers for my XB12SCG, and thanks to BlackBear who fitted them whilst renewing a broken stud on the front head (that's why I bottled out of doing it). Bike was turned round in a week including sending it from North Yorks and then back again. Top class service from both. Also a bit of advice if possible - with the headers, a Free Spirits non-cat exhaust and K&N, I've put on a Remus Powerizer (I know that people seem to either love or hate these) but it's too early to tell yet how it is running as the weather is stopping me getting some miles on right now. Question is, is the Poweriser necessary, would the bike be ok with the above mods and no Powerizer, or is there a better alternative? It's not really practical for me to mess about with the ECM as I only have access to Macs, not PC's. |

That's a cracking looking ride, those headers are bits of art. I think I just added something to my wish list on my Tuber! |

Hi youngjohn, Glad your happy with the bike, Rob did the Job who's bench is next to mine. It all went very well. Those down pipes of Al's do look the dogs nuts!. My own opinion is, you don't need the Remus poweriser, the system adapts very well to changes in exhaust/filter etc on it's own. It's one of the good things about the Buell DDFI system. If it was mine, I'd run it without it. Hope that help's bud. Regards, Jon |

Thanks for all the compliments, I'm pretty pleased with it myself. It's a 2000 mile (not for long...) bike and I tried to modify it quite subtly. I always wanted a CRG as I prefer the lower look. It's got rear indicators on the front (narrower), Rizoma Superbike bars, Titax levers, Free Spirits can, Albert pipes, Free Spirits tensioner, no top rear belt guard, Rizoma lower belt guard and a chopped down tail. Might get some rearsets for it yet, but not quite sure. |
