Post subject:  Ratio of Buells out there
After Nutah recently posted some links to a number of X1's on ebay, it caused me to wonder what the ratio actually is of Buells in the UK. On ebay there are, 4 XB's, 8 Tubers, and 12 R's and CR's. So is this anything like an accurate reflection on the numbers left, given that any Buell is a rare sight on the roads these days. Therefore, I reckon people should hang on to their XB's, because they are going to be highly collectible. And before anybody jumps in saying they are a pile of wank, collectability is more about rareness than reliability. :roll:

I think the reason for a lot more 1125s on Ebay is that they had a lot more of them to dispose of in the closing down sale - they weren't exactly selling like hot cakes in Europe - and they appeared to be the better deal to the non-Bueller who was looking for a cheap bike - these buyers are now moving those bikes on ...

Tend to agree with your definition of 'collectability'. You only have to look at the prices asked for some really dreadful Brit bikes - such the AJS/Matchless Light weight series, or the AMC Villiers type 2 strokes (not the genuine Villiers engines). They were heavy, underpowered complete shite, and were seen as such by yoofs like me who regularly put them into hedges on the way back from pubs lOl (not that I condone drunk driving, but it was very common 30 years ago).
I don't know if folk get the prices they advertise their 'Classic' for, but it makes you wonder :?

Yech! Freaky. Haven't paid attention to female body building since the mid 80s. Back then, Rachel McLish and even Cory Everson were lookers. Seen plenty of sexy photo shoots of them two. Even had a poster of Rachel in the workout room once upon a time. :sun:

Add Norton Jubilees, Bantams, LE velos etc. No one wanted them as they were shite. The dross gets dragged up with the cream.

If the pub meet the other night was anything to go by, we had one S1, one X1, one Firebolt, one XBS and an 1125CR and a couple of cars. 8-)
Work it out from there. lOl
