Anybody do red Marley at the weekend, bit of a shitfest but still good, shame to see arthur loose it on the pimple then get trammed, got up quick enough though, he's a tuff old boy, would have been nice to see him and popey in the final. Who was the old boy on the Harley, he got some big BIG balls along with the other old timers on rigid velo's and grass trackers, amazing how many of those nutters are pensioners, makes you proud to be British for once, doesn't happen much these days, some nice 2 bangers there as well, you gotta love em Good to see the crazy flyers using the back field, particularly liked the off bike free styling of the X man you can see him disappear over the top in a X stylie on YouTube vid, think it was by funkygooders, twas better in real life mind stuck to the hut at the top, had much fun getting up there and back down again with the boy in tow, proper little mountain goat he is All in, take it easy |

If the 'old boy' with the Harley was racing with 666 as his number then it's my mate Ray - I got to know him coz he's a flying instructor by trade (and he's 2 yrs younger than me The bike is actually a HarBsa (home made replica A10 frame) and the motor was a 750 side valve. It's of a much larger capacity now and has a 3 plug head on each pot to speed up the very slow burn. If it was using his home made alloy barrels, then it was running on Nitro/Dope, if they were iron then it was just straight Dope. I was going to enter this year on my JAP/Enfield, done it in past a few times, but I missed the cut off date Never ever shake hands with big Arthur, he nearly crushed mine at a pre '65 prize giving Was Terry Challinor and Mick Andrews racing this year? They've both recently had heart by pass ops and Mick was quite poorly after his |

Def has the right race number mate , went up the side of the van to have a look at the beast in question, little black peanut tank that looked lost on the frame, def side valve and I think it may have had the cast barrels on ( black ) with what looked like new alloy heads, if they weren't he'd done a damn good job of cleaning them, bit of soggy cardboard chucked over it to keep the rain off the electrics, hard core racing at its best, hats off to that man |
