So, how safe is it to reuse them ?

Replacing some brake hoses today (not on a Buell) and I've been supplied the wrong banjos and cannot locate any more that I can go and pick up today. I've got new washers so I'm going to have to use the existing bolts.

But do I really need to change the banjos at a later date ?

Discuss ...

Only the copper washers need to be changed or annealed.

If you're reusing Banjo bolts with an unknown history, always check the lateral drilling across the top, isn't distorted (I've seen ones with microscopic tears/cracks starting). If there's any of this, then they've previously been over tightened and need binning.
If not, then they're fine to reuse :yup:

I'm always wary of grungy cross drillings too - even of known history. Frankly I think bubbles tend to hide in there if they can. I confess I do not like banjos/bolts - I'd rather use forged couplings.

Cool. 8-)

Did check them before re using them.

But they were HD parts and we all know the quality of some of their stuff!
